School Objectives

To introduce participants to the idea of discovering results in applications of mathematical modelling and analysis to real-life problems in Science and Engineering, Epidemiology and Agriculture through theoretical and practical teachings, and To open up useful and meaningful collaborative research work that will be beneficial to the development of the African sub-region.

School Objectives

To introduce participants to current trends in some branches of applied mathematics and analysis, the use of mathematical and statistical computing and also initiate research topics for graduate students, To provide a forum for Mathematicians to interact, exchange ideas and initiate collaborations and Identify talented students for possible graduate programs.

Target Participants

The school is mainly for final year undergraduate students and early graduate students. The expected number of participants is fifty (50). Thirty (30) participants from Nigeria and twenty (20) participants from neighbouring countries. We expect minimum of twenty (20) women participants.
